The Urban Services District rate pays for extra services such as garbage pickup, street lights and sidewalks. In the General Services District, an owner pays for those services individually, per the Davidson County Assessor. Metro’s assessment notice has a “Tax Jurisdiction” box that names the district for each property, so ask for the seller’s notice or the tax bill before you write an offer.
Metro’s rates held steady from 2025, when the Assessor’s table shows the same $2.782 and $2.814. Tax bills are mailed in October and are due in full by the last day of February of the following year to avoid interest, per the Metro Trustee.

What is Amqui Station in Madison, TN?
Amqui Station is a 1910 railroad depot in Madison. It was built as a Louisville and Nashville (L&N) Railroad switching and passenger depot, per its historical marker. Johnny Cash bought it and moved it to Hendersonville in 1979, and after his death in 2003 it returned to Madison, to the site of the first Madison Station (1860), through community leaders and Discover Madison, Inc.
The marker also says visitors can sit on the station’s front porch and watch passing trains.
