Can you take the train from Lebanon to Nashville?
Yes. The WeGo Star commuter train runs weekday mornings and afternoons between Lebanon and Riverfront Station in downtown Nashville, per WeGo’s ride guide (November 2024 edition). Lebanon has three of its stations, and each one has a free park-and-ride lot.

What are property taxes in Lebanon after the 2026 reappraisal?
Wilson County’s 2026 property tax rate is $1.1657 per $100 of assessed value, set by County Commission Resolution 26-6-4, adopted June 15, 2026, for the fiscal year that began July 1, 2026. That’s down from $1.9089 in 2025, per the Tennessee Comptroller, because Wilson County reappraised every property in 2026 and the state sets a lower certified rate when values go up.
A home inside Lebanon can pay up to three lines: the county rate, the City of Lebanon rate, and the Lebanon Special School District rate. In the state’s 2025 table, Lebanon shows up twice. Inside the Lebanon Special School District, the combined 2025 rate was $2.8917 ($1.9089 county, $0.6855 city and $0.2973 school district). For Lebanon addresses outside that district, it was $2.5944. So two houses in the same city can get different bills.
The 2026 city and school district rates aren’t on this page yet. Which school district serves Lebanon, TN?
Lebanon is served by two public school districts. The Lebanon Special School District runs pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, per the district, with five elementary schools (Byars Dowdy, Castle Heights, Coles Ferry, Jones Brummett and Sam Houston) and two middle schools (Walter J. Baird and Winfree Bryant). Wilson County Schools runs Lebanon High School, and its feeder listing puts both Lebanon Special School District middle schools under Lebanon High.

Who are the big employers in Lebanon?
Amazon is the largest employer on the state’s list of Wilson County’s ten biggest, and it’s in Lebanon. Seven of the ten are in Lebanon, per the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development as of October 2026: Amazon, Wilson County Schools, Geodis, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Lochinvar, Wilson County Government and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The other three, FedEx Supply Chain, CEVA Logistics and Chewy, are in Mt. Juliet.
Cumberland University, founded in 1842, is in Lebanon too, and so is the Lebanon Municipal Airport at 200 Aviation Way.
What is there to do in Lebanon?
Cedars of Lebanon State Park covers 3,150 acres at 328 Cedar Forest Road. The state calls its cedar glade ecosystem globally rare, and the park has hiking trails and a campground next to the Tennessee State Forest.
The Wilson County Tennessee State Fair is held at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center, 945 E. Baddour Parkway, with carnival rides, livestock shows and agricultural exhibits. Cumberland University’s campus is in town as well.
