What to Know About the Best Neighborhoods in Thompsons Station, TN in 2026

The Thompson’s Station neighborhoods I get asked about most are Tollgate Village, Canterbury, Parsons Valley, Avenue Downs and Bridgemore Village. They’re all inside the Town of Thompson’s Station, in Williamson County, and the biggest differences between them are the builder, the home types, the school zone and whether the home is on the town’s sewer. I live in Canterbury, so I know these streets as a neighbor, not just as an agent.

The best neighborhood for you comes down to the house, the lot and the commute you want. Here’s how they compare, using the Town’s own records, the builders’ sites and the Williamson County Schools zone locator, as of October 2026.

What are the main neighborhoods in Thompson’s Station?

Tollgate Village

Tollgate Village is a Thompson’s Station neighborhood with its own Town Center along Tollgate Boulevard, where you’ll find restaurants, coffee, shops, condos and townhomes. It’s on the town’s sewer system, and the town greenway starts at its western edge. Regent Homes is building condos and townhomes in the Town Center as of October 2026. My Tollgate Village guide covers it street by street.

Canterbury and Fields of Canterbury

Canterbury is a Willow Branch Homes neighborhood with manor homes, cottage homes and townhomes, wide sidewalks, roundabouts and a junior Olympic pool. Willow Branch is still building there as of October 2026, and Fields of Canterbury is on the town’s sewer system. It’s where my family lives. See my Canterbury homes for sale page for every current listing.

Parsons Valley

Parsons Valley is a Beazer Homes community just off Columbia Pike south of Thompson’s Station Road. The Town’s planning commission approved its preliminary plat in October 2021 for 349 residential lots on about 116 acres, and Beazer is building townhomes and single-family homes there. More in my Parsons Valley guide.

Avenue Downs

Avenue Downs has 69 single-family lots in two phases at the southeast corner of Critz Lane and Clayton Arnold Road, right across the street from Canterbury. It’s on the town’s sewer system, and Barlow Builders has had homes available there in October 2026. More in my Avenue Downs guide.

Bridgemore Village

Bridgemore Village is an established Thompson’s Station neighborhood on the town’s sewer system, and the Town’s map lists it as complete, so what comes up here is resale. Ask me for the school zone and recent sales on any Bridgemore street.

Whistle Stop, Littlebury and Allenwood

Whistle Stop, Littlebury and Allenwood are also on the town’s sewer system. As of October 2026, Drees Homes is building townhomes in Whistle Stop Farms and single-family homes in Littlebury.

Is every Thompson’s Station address inside the Town?

No. A Thompson’s Station mailing address doesn’t always mean the home is inside the Town, and the difference changes your property tax bill, your sewer provider and your school zone. Fairhaven, a Dream Finders community, has a Thompson’s Station 37179 address but sits in unincorporated Williamson County. June Lake and Brixworth are inside the City of Spring Hill. Going the other way, Station Hill and Garrett Farms are inside the Town even though their builders use a Franklin 37064 address. I check the city limits on every address before you write an offer.

Which Thompson’s Station neighborhoods are on town sewer?

The Town of Thompson’s Station provides sewer service to Allenwood, Avenue Downs, Bridgemore Village, Fields of Canterbury, Littlebury, Tollgate Village and Whistle Stop. Homes in other neighborhoods may be on septic or another provider, so I confirm it on every house.

How far is Thompson’s Station from Franklin, Cool Springs and Nashville?

From Thompson’s Station Town Hall, it’s about 9 minutes to Spring Hill City Hall, 16 minutes to the public square in downtown Franklin, 20 to 25 minutes to CoolSprings Galleria and about 40 minutes to the Tennessee State Capitol in downtown Nashville, with no traffic. Rush hour on I-65 and US-31 adds time, so test your own commute at the hour you’d drive it. My commute times page has the details.
