Firefly in Spring Hill, TN: The Complete Guide to the Golf Community in 2026

Firefly: a private golf community in Maury County with a Spring Hill address

Firefly is a private, gated golf community on more than 700 acres off Highway 431, with a Spring Hill address and a Maury County location. It is planned for 407 single-family homes around an 18-hole course and a 9-hole par 3 short course, both designed by Andrew Green. Both courses opened to members over Labor Day weekend 2026.

The developer is Storied Development, the team behind The Grove in College Grove and Boot Ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas, working with Wheelock Street Capital. County records list the project as Firefly, also known as Danner Farms. I live in Thompson's Station, about 9 road miles up the road, and this guide covers the golf, the homesites and builders, how the club works, the schools and the questions I get most.

What to Expect at Firefly

Private and gated. Firefly is a gated community. Maury County planning minutes from February 2026 record that the entrance road has a guardhouse to be staffed 24 hours a day by private security.

A private club. The golf and amenities are owned and operated as a private club with membership requirements. The developer’s FAQ describes it as a right-to-use club, where members get a license to use the club facilities, and says membership will be capped at 415 members plus Founder and Encore members who do not own real estate there. The same FAQ says club membership is mandatory for all residents, and the only way to secure permanent membership is by buying real estate at Firefly. Budget for it from the start.

The POA. Firefly has a property owners association, separate from the club. The developer’s FAQ says POA dues are waived until the first phase of infrastructure is finished.

County, not city. Firefly’s rezoning and subdivision plats have gone through Maury County government, the Maury County Regional Planning Commission and the County Commission, not the City of Spring Hill. If city limits matter for your plans, I confirm it with the county for the specific lot.

Water. Maury County Water serves the development. A memo to county planners in March 2026 confirmed water capacity is reserved for the entire development, with service contracted phase by phase. Ask the sales team about sewer and electric for any lot you’re considering.

Firefly Homes and Homesites: Custom Builders and What to Know

Firefly sells homesites, and you build a custom home on yours with one of the community’s builders. The developer describes its homesites as having ridgeline, golf, nature and golf-course views, and its design direction as traditional Southern and rustic farmhouse with a modern layer.

Firefly builders

The developer’s site lists Davis Properties, Legend Homes, Luna Custom Homes, Ford Classic Homes, Stonegate Homes, Schumacher Homes and Sipple Homes. The developer told county planners in February 2026 that seven builders were under contract, and the developer’s FAQ says home construction is expected to begin in spring 2027.

Phases and homesite sales

The rezoning plan Maury County heard in 2024 covers 407 single-family lots on about 725 acres, moving the land from A-2 rural residential to a residential planned unit development, and the county planning commission voted unanimously in favor of Phase 2 preliminary plats in June 2025 and March 2026. The developer says more than 80 homesites sold in the first 45 days of phase one, and its May 2026 announcement said phase two homesite sales would begin in early May.

How Firefly pricing works

I keep price figures off this page because they change with every release. At Firefly the total cost has more parts than a typical neighborhood: the homesite, the build with your chosen builder, the club membership and the POA. Text me and I’ll walk you through today’s numbers for each one.

Daily Commutes and Highway Access

Firefly’s gated entrance is on Highway 431, Lewisburg Pike, about 5 miles south of the June Lake interchange on I-65, by the developer’s description. From the sales center at 3071 Highway 431, I-65 north is the fastest route to Franklin and Nashville.

Road miles from the Firefly sales center, measured with no traffic, so add time at rush hour:

  • Spring Hill City Hall. About 8.5 miles, roughly 16 minutes.
  • Thompson’s Station. About 9 miles, roughly 15 minutes.
  • Downtown Franklin. About 18 miles, roughly 23 minutes.
  • Columbia. About 19 miles to the courthouse square, roughly 26 minutes.
  • Cool Springs and the Galleria. About 19 miles, roughly 26 minutes.
  • Downtown Nashville. About 34 miles to the State Capitol, roughly 44 minutes.
  • Nashville airport (BNA). About 35 miles, roughly 46 minutes.

Golf at Firefly: Andrew Green’s First Original Design

The championship course. Firefly’s 18-hole course plays from 4,860 to more than 7,300 yards, according to the developer’s opening announcement. It is Andrew Green’s first original design.

The Playground. The 9-hole par 3 short course, called The Playground, has holes from about 70 to 210 yards. The developer built it to the same standards as the main course, for quick rounds, practice and playing with golfers of every level.

Opening. Both courses opened to members over Labor Day weekend 2026. Play is for club members.

Irrigation. The developer’s progress updates describe a 20-million-gallon irrigation lake for the courses.

Firefly Amenities: What’s Open and What’s Coming

The golf courses are open now. The Golf Shop, the Fieldhouse and the Outpost were under construction at the September 2026 opening and on track for spring 2027, according to the developer.

The developer’s planned amenities also include:

  • A clubhouse and a fitness center
  • Base Camp, a casual gathering place
  • Two pools
  • A bowling alley, golf simulators and a game room
  • A racquet club with tennis, padel and indoor pickleball courts
  • A multisport court, a music hall and a STEAM learning center
  • Firefly Village

For everyday errands, the developer points to Kroger, Target, Walmart, Publix, Berry Farms Town Center, June Lake and the Cool Springs Galleria, and to Maury Regional Medical Center, Williamson Medical Center and the planned TriStar hospital for care.
